GO
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
World Outreach operates on a faith-support model. This means that every field worker, whether serving short- or long-term, is responsible for raising their own support and building a team of financial partners who help sustain them and the ministry God has called them to on the field.
World Outreach is a deeply relational organisation, built through shared vision, mutual trust and a clear understanding of how we work together.
For those considering serving Long-term (2 or more years) with World Outreach, it is important to understand our partnership model from the beginning:
Our Focus is the Unreached
World Outreach exists to take the gospel to unreached people groups- communities with little or no access to the message of Jesus. Because this is central to who we are, applicants must be able to identify the unreached people group they feel called to serve.
Your Calling, Supported by Partnership
We believe that the calling and ministry vision belong to the field worker. Rather than directing every aspect of your ministry, World Outreach comes alongside you, equipping, supporting and encouraging you as you pursue the vision God has placed in your heart.
As a Long-term World Outreach field worker, you will:
Take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of your life and ministry
Build a team of prayer and financial supporters
Contribute 10% of the support you receive towards the shared services provided by World Outreach
World Outreach provides:
Field Leadership: Regular coaching, encouragement and guidance on ministry strategy
Member Care: Personal and pastoral support from trained and experienced people
Training: Preparation for cross-cultural ministry, together with ongoing learning and development
Community: Retreats, online and in-person gatherings, fellowship and prayer support
Vision and Direction: Opportunities to connect your ministry with the wider vision of reaching the unreached
Security and Contingency Support: Guidance and assistance during emergencies, crises or changing circumstances
Administrative and Financial Services: Practical systems that help you manage your ministry responsibly
This model allows field workers to lead with initiative and ownership while remaining connected to a supportive, experienced global community.
