RAISING LEADERS

EQUIPPING LOCAL BELIEVERS TO LEAD, SERVE, AND REACH THE UNREACHED

World Outreach exists to see strong, Spirit-led leaders raised up within unreached people groups. Through contextualised training, mentoring, and long-term partnership, we equip pastors and emerging leaders to grow in biblical depth, leadership confidence, and mission vision so local churches can thrive and multiply from within.

Across the majority world, many church leaders are deeply committed to God but have had little access to formal Bible training or leadership development. At the same time, the task of reaching the unreached cannot be accomplished by outside support alone. The most effective and sustainable way forward is to equip local believers who understand the language, culture, and worldview of their own communities.

That’s why leadership development is foundational.

How We Train Leaders

We partner with local churches and movements to provide training that is:

  • Biblically grounded

  • Culturally relevant

  • Practically applied

Our programmes are designed for pastors, church leaders, and emerging leaders, helping strengthen them today while preparing the next generation. Some courses follow structured frameworks, while others are shaped in local partnership to address real ministry challenges on the ground.

Rather than one-off events, we walk with leaders over time, returning year after year to deepen learning, encourage growth, and support lasting transformation in their churches and communities.

Why It Matters

When local leaders are equipped, entire churches are mobilised. Healthy leadership leads to healthy churches, and healthy churches multiply into unreached communities.

Our goal is to see:

  • Pastors strengthened to lead thriving churches

  • Emerging leaders equipped to serve and be sent

  • Trainers raised up to multiply ministries

  • Churches mobilised for cross-cultural mission

Ultimately, we believe God is raising up strong, multiplying leaders to bring the gospel to those who have never heard.

EVANGELISM & CHURCH PLANTING

We share the gospel and empower local communities to establish new churches among their own and other unreached people groups, so that every community can encounter Jesus.

Across Asia and Africa, we are witnessing a powerful movement of church planting as men and women boldly proclaim the name of Jesus and lives are transformed by the power of God.

From Gospel to Growing Churches

Evangelism and church planting go hand in hand. As people come to faith in Christ, we walk alongside them through discipleship, helping new believers grow in their understanding of God’s Word and in their everyday obedience to Jesus.

These disciples are then equipped to share the Good News with others. As faith spreads, believers begin gathering for worship, prayer, and teaching. Over time, local leaders are raised up, and new churches are formed, rooted in their own culture, language, and community.

This is how a church is born: not imported from the outside, but grown holistically from within.

Multiplying Movements

When churches continue to reproduce in this way, a Church Planting Movement begins to take shape: an intentional, Spirit-led multiplication of new, indigenous churches within a people group or region.

These movements are marked by:

  • Local ownership – Churches are led and sustained by local believers

  • Reproducible discipleship – Every disciple is equipped to make more disciples

  • Rapid multiplication – Churches planting new churches

Our role as field workers is to bring the Gospel and train leaders, but the momentum belongs to the local church. When the vision and leadership come from within the community, the movement becomes sustainable, scalable, and deeply rooted.

A Lasting Kingdom Impact

Through evangelism, discipleship, and church planting, God is raising up a new generation of leaders and birthing vibrant churches in some of the world’s most unreached places. Together, we are seeing communities transformed and the Kingdom of God take root where it has never been before.

ALL NATIONS MOBILISATION

We partner with local churches to equip and send believers to reach unreached people in their communities and beyond.

World Outreach partners with local churches to help ordinary believers step into God’s global mission. Together, we train, equip, and send people to share the Good News in their own communities and among unreached people groups around the world.

A New Generation on Mission

We are partnering with a rising, intercultural generation of younger workers who are passionate about seeing every people group encounter Jesus. Through practical, context-relevant training, we help them grow in faith, confidence, and cross-cultural effectiveness so they are ready to go wherever God leads.

The Great Commission is for every generation, and there is more than one pathway into missions. That’s why we’ve developed a range of training programmes that prepare people for life and ministry in diverse cultural settings.

Mobilising the Global Church

The idea that some nations send field workers while others simply receive them belongs to another era.

Today, strong, vibrant churches exist in almost every nation, and so do the world’s remaining unreached people groups.

World Outreach is mobilising the Church across more than 70 nations around the world. We come alongside churches everywhere, helping them become actively and strategically involved in reaching the final frontiers of the gospel.

Because when the whole church is mobilised, the whole world can be reached.

Some of our projects focused on All Nations Mobilisation include:

The Nations Course: https://world-outreach.com/web/lea-nationscourse/?lea=true

Our six-week Nations Course has been developed to equip new field workers with tools to ensure their first term is successful and fruitful. The course is also valuable for field workers already on the field.

Didasko Academy:

Didasko Academy offers free, online, video-based, intercultural ministry training, presenting an in-depth overview of the world of missions.

KAIROS: https://simplymobilizing.com/kairos/

KAIROS is designed to educate, inspire and challenge Christians to meaningful participation in God’s heart for all the nations. It is a tool God is using to help transform the worldview of believers, so they see themselves as having been blessed in order to be a blessing to all people groups.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

We care for children in unreached communities through spiritual growth programmes, quality education, and by creating safe environments where they can flourish.

Children Matter

In many parts of the world, children make up more than half of the population, and they are often the most vulnerable.

War, disease, hunger, and poverty place millions at risk, with over 400 million children living in extreme poverty.

World Outreach is committed to protecting children from harm, exploitation, and neglect, while helping them discover hope, dignity, and a future through Jesus Christ.

Let the Children Come

We reach children where they are: in schools, villages, churches, and communities, through creative outreach, age-appropriate discipleship, and practical support.

Through children’s clubs, school programmes, Sunday School curriculum, and correspondence courses, we introduce children to Jesus and help them grow in faith. We also equip local children’s workers with the training and resources they need to disciple the next generation.

Above all, we pray that children and their families will encounter Jesus, be transformed by his love, and grow into confident followers of his word.

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Matthew 19:14

Safe. Loved. Protected.

World Outreach is committed to the highest standards of child care.
We follow comprehensive Child Safety Policies and Procedures aligned with internationally recognised Child Safety and Protection Network Best Practice Standards, ensuring that every child we serve is respected, protected, and valued.

Humanitarian Aid

We meet practical needs in unreached areas with gospel hope and compassionate aid for community transformation.

Across the world, millions of families still struggle to meet their most basic needs.
Even though there is enough food to feed everyone, almost 700 million people go to bed hungry each night.

At World Outreach, we believe the love of Jesus must be both proclaimed and demonstrated.
That means sharing the Good News while also meeting urgent physical needs, because faith and compassion belong together.

Rapid Response When Disaster Strikes

When earthquakes, floods, famines, or conflict devastate communities, our teams and local partners are often already there. This allows us to respond quickly with practical, life-saving support, including:

  • Emergency food and clean water

  • Medical supplies and essential medicines

  • Shelter, household items, and basic necessities

  • Support for families who have lost everything

We work through our World Outreach field workers on the ground and trusted local partners to ensure help reaches those who need it most — quickly, wisely, and with dignity.

Restoring Lives, Not Just Relieving Crisis

Our goal is not only to respond in emergencies, but to help communities rebuild and thrive long-term. We support initiatives that strengthen families and promote self-sufficiency, including:

  • Basic education and adult literacy

  • Community healthcare

  • Livelihood and development programmes

  • Clean water and sanitation

By walking alongside local leaders and churches, we help communities move from survival to stability and from hardship to hope.

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty, and you gave me drink.”

Matthew 25:35
